Who We Are

Landscape Management and Development Association (LAMDEV) is a community based, non-profit and apolitical organization operating in Manyu Division.
LAMDEV is made up of members from different walks of life dedicated to improving the landscape of communities.
Founded in November 2006 to develop, promote and respond to challenges faced by communities ranging from empowerment, livelihood improvement, conservation and environmental protection, water, hygiene and sanitation and land management. Its geographical zones of intervention include: Mamfe, Akwaya and Eyumojock Sub-divisions.

Our Mission

Our mission is to improve rural livelihood through domestic and sustainable natural resource management.

Our Goal

To contribute in the development of a viable and realizable management option for long-term biodiversity conservation in Cameroon.
To provide training on organizational development for small groups on domestic and sustainable natural resources management.
To identify and promote self-help initiatives and income generating activities among rural communities.
To develop potential for the domestication of selected domestic and wildlife species as a viable tool to control bush meat hunting in Cameroon.
To develop potential for the domestication of selected non-timber forest products as a viable tool for unsustainable exploitation in Cameroon.
